Plateosaurus was a plant-eating dinosaur that lived in Europe. It was the largest dinosaur of its time, growing to about 9m in length. This great size allowed Plateosaurus to feed on the leaves of tall trees. Although it walked on two legs, Plateosaurus was an ancestor of the huge four-legged sauropods that first appeared during the Jurassic period.
