	#23 -Name: KENTROSAURUS -Scientific name: Kentrosaurus aethiopicus -Period: Jurassic (210-145 million years ago) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kentrosaurus was a small African relative of the larger Stegosaurus. Although it was only 2.5m on length, this dinosaur could defend itself effectively against predators. A protective row of sharp spines ran down its back and along its tail. Kentrosaurus had a very small brain and was not very intelligent, but it probably had an excellent sense of smell.		Animal type: Reptile (Mouseover for animal size)
