	#28 -Name: CAUDIPTERYX -Scientific name: Caudipterix zoui -Period: Cretaceous (146-65 million years ago) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Caudipteryx was a very small meat-eating dinosaur discovered in China. Only about 1m in length, it would have been a swift runner, probably hunting small lizards and insects. The most unusual feature of this dinosaur was the fact that although it couldn't fly, it's legs and tail were covered in feathers. These might have been for display or for warmth.
