	26- Name: Cuban Red Macaw Scientific Name: Ara tricolor The Cuban Red Macaw fed on the fruits of forest trees and nested in holes in palms. Habitat loss and hunting by humans gradualy reduced the numbers of these birds, and by 1800 it had disappeared from most of its former home. The last known bird was shot in 1864.
